CanadaHelps

BELOW IS AN OUTLINE OF MY EXPERIENCE AT CANADAHELPS.

As the result of growing up in a household that indoctrinated on the value of giving back to those in need, I’ve always wanted to experience working in the charitable sector.

When an opportunity to join CanadaHelps —a Toronto-based organization at the intersection of technology and charitable giving—showed up on my radar, I knew that it was something that I wanted to explore.

Working mostly with small-to-medium sized charities, CanadaHelps is a charity champions all 86,000 charities across Canada. Every registered Canadian charity has an eCommerce-style profile on CanadaHelps.org, connecting donors directly to the charity so donors can easily find and donate to them. More importantly, CanadaHelps offers an array of powerful online fundraising solutions for charities, intended to power their fundraising and increase their donations.

My focus at CanadaHelps has been managing this charity-to-charity (B2B) side of the business, and increasing revenue and client base for the organization. I’ve been focused on developing and implementing lead-generation, acquisition, and retention strategies to drive these increases. I’ve been directly leading and executing B2B marketing strategies, including Email, Paid Search, Social Media, SEO, Print, Affiliate, and Strategic Partnerships to acquire charity clients and leads, and retain and cross-sell existing charity clients.

To date, I’ve been responsible for a 3X increase in the engagement of our existing 21,000 charity customers, driving over 2,000 new charity registrations onto our platform solutions, helping manage the re-design of our B2B brand, leading key sector partnerships, and managing our involvement in global charitable movements such as GivingTuesday, #GivingTuesdayNow, and the Great Canadian Giving Challenge.
